Biography
Dr. David G. Stork is Rambus Fellow at Rambus Labs, where he leads research in the Computational Sensing and Imaging Group. A graduate in Physics of MIT and the University of Maryland, he's held faculty positions in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Psychology, Neuroscience and Art and Art History variously at Wellesley and Swarthmore Colleges and Clark, Boston and Stanford Universities. He is a Fellow of OSA, SPIE, IAPR and IARIA, has published over 200 technical articles and eight books/proceedings volumes, and holds 51 patents. In addition to his work in computational imaging, machine learning, pattern recognition and computer vision, he is a pioneer in the application of rigorous computer image analysis to problems in the history and interpretation of fine art paintings and has lectured on the subject at leading museums in 20 countries.
