Car & Bus

Valencia has a modern road network that makes it easily accessible from any city, both in the Iberian peninsula and further afield.
The Mediterráneo AP-7 motorway, which runs the whole length of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline from north to south, connects with the European motorway network, the A-23 Sagunto-Somport motorway and the A-3 Madrid-Valencia motorway.
Most of the passenger services operating in Valencia, both national and international, begin and end at Valencia Bus Station.

Valencia Bus Station
Menéndez Pidal, 11. 46009 Valencia. Tel. 963 466 266
Open: daily, 24 hours.
Metro: L1 - Turia.
Bus: 8, 29, 60, 61,62, 63, 73, 79

Valencia has a city and suburban bus network that reaches every corner of the city. Bus services start at 4 am on some of the lines, and end at 10.30 pm. Then follows the night bus service, which ends at 2 am, except for on Fridays, Saturdays and the nights before public holidays, when it continues until 3:30 am.
As well as regular day and night services, in summer and at other specific times such as during the European Grand Prix of F1 or major festivals, additional special bus services are put on. Services to the suburbs are provided by a consortium of transport companies grouped together under the name of Metrobús. These services link the city with surrounding towns and villages.

Metro

Getting around by metro is really easy: download the metro map or visit www.metrovalencia.com, where you can look up the stops that will be most convenient for you, plan your journey in real time or check and download the timetable.

If you are travelling on lines 3 or 5 of the metro, we suggest you stop off at La Alameda, an important example of the Valencian architecture designed by Santiago Calatrava. The station is located underneath the Exposición bridge, which is another jewel in the crown of this Valencian architect and is not to be missed.
